Across hundreds of conversations with ESM companies, one thing has become clear: training is a persistent, costly pain point. Whether it’s onboarding new team members, upskilling current staff, or simply trying to stay on top of the latest updates within Uptick—it’s a challenge that internal teams often don’t have the time or headspace to solve alone.

While Uptick’s digital knowledge base and online support options are sophisticated and accessible, they don’t replace the value of face-to-face, collaborative training. There’s a significant gap in the market when it comes to real-world application, practical learning, and live support that adapts to your workflows and team structure.

That’s why we created these small group workshops—designed not just to teach the ‘how’, but to show the ‘why’ behind Uptick best practices. Each session offers a practical, hands-on approach guided by facilitators who aren’t just tech experts—they’ve worked in the field, led operations teams, and understand the exact pressure points you’re navigating.

In every session, we focus on clarity, confidence, and cohesion—so your team walks away not just knowing what to do, but understanding how to do it well, and why it matters within your business.

What to expect

  • All workshops are 3-4 hrs (depending on which session).

  • Participants are required to bring: An open mind, a notebook and pen and a device on which they can access Uptick

  • Each session is $400+ GST per participant.

  • Maximum of 10 participants per session. (Min 5 in order to go ahead)

  • To ensure the best possible training experience, all OnTrack ESM workshops require a minimum of five attendees. As we launch, we are gathering expressions of interest and will prioritise sessions based on the most in-demand topics.

  • This session is ideal for anyone who:

    • Is new to the ESM industry (less than 6 months experience)

    • Is stepping into a new role within an ESM company (admin, coordination, support)

    • Wants a practical, structured refresher on ESM foundations

    Whether you're starting fresh or looking to fill in the blanks, this workshop will give you the context, clarity, and confidence to operate effectively in the field.

    • What Essential Safety Measures are and why they matter

    • Key Australian Standards that underpin compliance

    • Asset maintenance routines and what an “asset” actually is

    • Basics of tests, servicing, service reporting, and asset failure

    • Customer relationship types and dynamics (with examples)

    • Common buildings, asset types, and testing scenarios

    • Basic Uptick functionality to support this understanding

  • This session is ideal for:

    • New Uptick users or those stepping into greater admin responsibility

    • Team members with basic ESM knowledge who now need system confidence

    • Uptick structure: properties, clients, billing cards & contracts

    • Tasks, routines, assets, and how they interconnect

    • Creating service reports and quoting workflows

    • Office-to-field and mobile workflows

    • Using correspondence, saving documents, and timelines/internal notes

    • Customer portal admin view

    • Contractor portal

  • This session is ideal for:

    • Admins with solid Uptick experience wanting to deepen understanding

    • Those responsible for system oversight, data integrity, or operations

    • Using the Control Panel for backend management

    • Managing routines, asset types, variants, and remarks

    • Data Importer for cleaning up and maintaining large data sets

    • Configuring products, labour rates, and remarks for profitability

    • Scheduler and timesheet tools

    • Technician workflow awareness

    • Be Secure and permission settings

  • Confident backend system management

  • Efficient bulk updates using the Data Importer

  • Improved quoting and margin control

  • Visibility over scheduling and task progress
